Growing up in Fairhope, Alabama was interesting because even though, as black people, we were residents of Fairhope, we were not truly seen as true citizens. We were often invisible, marginalized and expected to always be in a position of subserviencу.

I've just now finished your interesting and helpful, and inspiring book. -a genuine accomplishment. Your strong narrative voice is impressive. In my years as editor and writing instructor, I have come to believe that voice and tone are the most important and least teachable qualities in one's prase.Yours are powerful.
